When using a post preamp volume pedal in your system, you normally have to run long cables between the pedal and your amplifier.

This causes tonal loss, added noise and loss in dynamics.

The VPI rectifies all these issues, even with very long cable runs.
Normally the VPI is used in combination with a Rack Interface.
